1. Become a MEMBER
Two types of Memberships are being offered.
- ALL MEMBERSHIPS are FREE until December 31st 2024. After that the following will apply:
- $10/Year REGULAR Membership allows for detail VIEW ONLY of all your private and public Outings and will allow you to record Scores for individual rounds.
- $35/Year PREMIUM Membership allows you to organize and administer private and public outings with an unlimited number of outings and it will allow you to record scores for individual rounds.
2. Create and Manage Golf Outings
A PREMIUM member may arrange the outing through various agents of their choice. They may find those agents via the web, magazines, tv ads, etc. Once the Agent has been contacted and the coordinator has made all the arrangements, he/she will then use this site to record the agent information, cost of the outing, location of the outing, accommodations being offered, dates of the outing, number of rounds being played, if it's a public or private, if it's a local or remote and the courses that will be included in the outing.
A REGULAR member will only have the ability to VIEW Outing information created by his/her COORDINATOR (PREMIUM MEMBER). He/she will also have the ability to enter single round scores and let this site calculate their USGA handicap.
3. Select Golf Courses
You can chose from 17000+ golf courses with 70,000+ Tees. Our data is updated periodically from US Golf Data. Their site provides us with tee and yardage, statistics, and scorecard information, plus other data such as Course Name, City, State, Street address, Zip Code, County, Phone, Fax, Website URL, Course Designer (Architect), Year Built, Course Status (Public, Private, Municipal, etc), Guest Policy, Email address, Course Manager and much more. The coordinator (PREMIUM member) will be able to add our courses to their own personal list of courses played at public and private outings.
4. Manage Accommodations
The coordinator (PREMIUM member) will work with the agent to determine the accommodations that are being offered with the outing and record those here. Once the accommodations have been recorded, the coordinator may then record which accommodation will be assigned to each member and even which room he/she will be residing. Some members may prefer to stay in a 2 or 3 bedroom condo for 4 -6 people, while others may prefer a less expensive hotel room for 2.
5. Manage Outing Members
Once all the information has been recorded about the outing, the coordinator (PREMIUM Member) will do the following:
- Create a Group (if one is not already created).
- Send emails to non OGO members requesting them to join the site as a REGULAR member.
- Send emails to current OGO members asking them to request him/her to be their coordinator.
- Add those members to his chosen group(s).
- Send emails to OGO members requesting them to login to the site and send a request to join the outing.
- Once the members have joined, the coordinator may use this site to keep track of all the members' outing payments and balances.
- Members will also use this site to find public outings and then send requests to that coordinator requesting to join the outing.-
6. Manage Tournaments
A Coordinator (PREMIUM MEMBER) can maintain a Tournament(s) and assign rounds to that tournament(s). He/she will then create the rounds for a tournament based on courses within the outing. He/she has the option of creating teams or letting the system generate teams based on their handicaps. Tee times may then be entered manually or have the system generate them for you. Once tee times have been created the coordinator may assign participating members/teams to those tee times. Tee times may be generated for Shotgun starts and reqular tee times. The coordinator may also use this site to assign Trophy Points to such things as closest to pin on par 3's, longest drives, top 3 winning teams and top 3 individual winners.
7. Track Individual/Team scores
Once a round has been completed you will use this site to enter all the scores and let the system calculate the net scores and winners. We currently offer 12 Tournament Formats for 2 and 4 man teams.
